Trisha Spillane
Founder & Principal
Hi! I’m Trish – founder and principal of Simply Put Communications.
Creativity and a deep appreciation for quick wit run in my DNA.
My resume?
Shortly after completing my BA in Communications from Roger Williams University, I jetted off to the happiest place on earth and embarked on an internship that was truly magical and prepared me for a world outside of fantasy.
With a little pixie dust and some guidance from a handful of Fairy GodMothers, I landed my first “big girl job”. Enter Hearts On Fire, The World’s Most Perfectly Cut Diamond. There, I spent 7 years learning (read: making mistakes), growing (aka: getting uncomfortable), and soaking up (ie: injecting myself) into anything and everything. Realizing quickly that the diamond wasn’t the only thing natural, real and rare. It was the people.
Transitioning to Swarovski, I had an eye on obtaining global experience and an objective of gaining insight into how various distribution networks operated.
From owned stores, licensed boutiques, independent retail, e-commerce, to travel retail, I soon realized that the brand must always come through, but the strategies and tactics may need to differ. #knowyouraudience
As someone who grew up (digitally) navigating the Oregon Trail, I knew I wanted to enhance my digital literacy. I joined the immensely talented team at Rue La La, a leading ecommerce site, and brought forth partnerships that tapped (pun intended) new audiences allowing for additional website sessions, new members, and incremental revenue.
They say you can’t go home again, but well-behaved women rarely make history. Thus, I returned to Hearts On Fire ultimately becoming the VP, Marketing & Communications to lead the projects, programs, and activities I had once supported.
Seven additional years under my belt and a different perspective on “change” led me into the next chapter of my story.
Welcome to Simply Put.
